Junior World Championship: Iranian freestyle wrestlers earn 2 golds, 1 bronze
Iranian Junior Freestyle Wrestlers have pocketed 2 gold and a bronze medals in the 2021 World Championship, which is currently underway in Russia.
On the 2nd day of the event and in the 70kg Category, Erfan Elahi claimed team Iran's 1st gold medal, after defeating Dzhabrail Gadzhiev of Azerbaijan 4-1 in the final.
Then Mohammad Nokhodi bagged 2nd gold by beating another Azerbaijan grappler 7-5 in the 79 kg category final. Ali Abdullahi bagged a bronze medal for Iran in the 97 kg category as well.
Meanwhile, 4 other Iranian junior wrestlers in different weight classes have advanced to the final, as today they will fight for gold medals.
