Tokyo Olympics: Steveson bags wrestling gold in 125 KG
Over latest news from the Olympics and freestyle wrestling, America’s Gable Steveson has stunned Georgia's Geno Petriashvili with a last-gasp victory in the super heavyweight gold medal bout.
Steveson started strong and raced to an early lead, grabbing the 4th point by slamming his 125 Kilo opponent on his back. However, his Georgian opponent fought back with two gut wrench moves, to go ahead 8-5, and moments away from the gold medal.
But, with only 10 seconds left, Steveson turned things around, with two spin-behind takedowns, the 2nd coming at the Buzzer, to go up 9-8, and seal his first Olympic medal.
