England have been held to a scoreless draw by Scotland at Wembley Stadium.

England defender John Stones headed against the post in the 12th minute, while Stephen O'Donnell could have put Scotland in front if it was not for a fabulous save by Jordan Pickford. The two sides had some scoring chances after the break, but none were able to get the job done. The result leaves England level on 4 points with group leaders the Czech Republic, while Scotland sit bottom with just 1 point.

In the other group D encounter, the Czech Republic played out a 1-all draw with Croatia, to take a step closer to the knockout-stage. Patrik Schick took his tally to 3 goals so far at the tournament, with a 37th minute spot-kick, to put the Czech in front. However, Croatia restored parity soon after the restart, with Ivan Perisic blasting the ball into the top corner, to earn his team’s first point after 2 encounters. Croatia sit 3rd in group D.

Meanwhile Sweden moved to the top of Group E, with a 1-0 victory over Slovakia, after Emil Forsberg scored a 77th-minute penalty to put the Scandinavian side on track for the knockout-stage. Slovakia are 2nd on 3 points, with Spain sitting in 3rd with just a single point, while Poland are at the bottom.
