Bayern Munich who had just become the Bundesliga champions for the 9th successive time thrashed Borussia Monchengladbach 6-nil at the Allianz Arena.

The Bavarians came into the match, having claimed the title an hour earlier, after 2nd place RB Leipzig lost to Borussia Dortmund. However, that didn’t stop the Bavarians from dismantling Gladbach.

Poland’s striker Robert Lewandowski started the goal frenzy as early as the 2nd minute, before the defending champions scored 3 more goals in the first half, to put the match beyond doubt. But, they continued their ruthless performance after the break, as Lewandowski went on to complete his hat-trick while registering his 39th goal of the season, and his 200th goal for Bayern Munich in only 217 appearances.

Finally, Leroy Sane put the icing on the cake with 6 minutes remaining, as Bayern celebrate a record-extending 30th Bundesliga title, with 3 matches to spare.
