NBA: Suns crush Cavaliers 134-118 in overtime

A look at the NBA, the Phoenix Suns have earned a 134 to 118 overtime win over the Cleveland Cavaliers for their 5th straight victory.

The Suns, who were leading by 6 points at the intermission, saw their advantage cut to 2 by the end of the 3rd quarter before Cleveland tied the score at 114-all to force the game into overtime. Phoenix dominated the extra session, dismantling the Cavs 20 to 4 to move into a tie with the Utah Jazz for the top spot in the Western Conference.

Devin Booker led the Suns with 31 points, while Rookie Isaac Okoro scored a career-high 32 points for the Cavaliers, who suffered their 7th consecutive defeat.

Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets moved up to 8th place in the Eastern Conference with a 102 to 99 road win over the Detroit Pistons.

After leading 53 to 49 at halftime, Charlotte built a 78 to 72 edge going to the final quarter where they held on to inflict a 3rd successive loss on the Pistons. LaMelo Ball scored 23 points for the Hornets, while Hamidou Diallo scored a career-high 35 points for Detroit. In the other games on Tuesday night, the Bucks, the Pelicans, the Kings, the Mavericks and the Clippers topped their opponents.
