NBA: Phoenix Suns 121-100 Utah Jazz

Over the NBA, and in a clash at the top of the Western Conference, the Phoenix Suns have defeated the Utah Jazz 121 to 100 at home.

The Hosts were playing better in the opening quarter after routing the Jazz 39 to 23. Then both teams were putting in good effort in the 2nd as it finished 29-apiece, but the Suns went to their locker room with a 69 to 52 advantage.

Phoenix managed to widen the gap to 25 points after taking the 3rd quarter with an 8-point margin. Despite being behind by 3-points in the final quarter, Phoenix earned a 21-point overall victory. The Suns will travel to Oklahoma to line up against the Thunder on Sunday, while the Jazz welcome the Toronto Raptors on Saturday.

Elsewhere, Eastern Conference leaders the Brooklyn Nets winning streak has been snapped after suffering a 128 to 109 loss against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The visitors overcame the Nets in the 1st half as they stayed ahead by 59 to 57. The Blazers remained consistent and took the next 2 quarters to earn their 3rd win in a row and kept their hopes alive to book a place in the playoffs. Damian Lillard pocketed 32 points for Portland, while Kyrie Irving bagged 28 in the losing effort.
