Half a million covid vaccines from China arrive in Venezuela

President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro says 500,000 doses of China's Sinopharm coronavirus vaccine arrived in the South American country this week, along with protective material for medical personnel. An official source reported that everything was part of a donation.
As the Bolivarian Republic confronts illegal US sanctions that have weakened its economy and capacity to tackle the deadly virus, the socialist president says that the Chinese vaccine will reinforce his government's ongoing efforts to protect the population. Venezuelan officials back Maduro's statement.
