Jubilations among ranks and files of the opposition parties after Senate elections in Pakistan: the combined opposition parties have managed to retain their majority in the 100-member Senate.

The Senate elections were held against 37 seats and the ruling party of Prime Minister Imran Khan won 25 seats. Khan’s party emerged as the single largest political force in the Senate for the first time.
