NBA: Utah Jazz 114-89 Los Angeles Lakers

Over the NBA, and in a clash at the top of the Western Conference, the struggling Los Angeles Lakers have suffered their 4th consecutive loss after the Utah Jazz hammered them 114 to 89 at home.

The hosts were the better side from the onset and took the opener by just a single point, before routing the Lakers 39 to 24 in the 2nd quarter. The teams went to their locker rooms with a 63 to 47 advantage.

The Jazz kept the pressure on and widened the gap to 26 points following their win in the 3rd quarter. Despite the defending champions taking the final set, they could only cut the deficit to 25 points at the end of the game.

With the victory, the Jazz registered their 26th victory of the season. They will travel to Miami to meet the Heat on Friday, while the Lakers entertain the Portland Trail Blazers on the same day.

In addition, the Golden State Warriors kept their hopes alive to reach the playoffs after earning their 18th victory of the season by beating the Indian Pacers 111 to 107 away from home.

The Pacers finished the 1st half with a 58 to 56 advantage. But, the Warriors came from behind and took the lead with a 4-point margin to put the match to bed after the final quarter finished at 27-apiece.

Stefen Curry tallied 24 points for the Warriors and Malcom Brogdon also bagged the same amount of points for the Pacers.
