Torture and medical neglect are the main culprits for the death of 22 Yemeni prisoners held by the Saudi-led coalition. It sets a record for the coalition’s violations of international law.

The head of Yemen’s National Committee for Prisoners' Affairs has confirmed that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) keeps hundreds of prisoners in its jails in southern Yemen.

The year 2020 witnessed remarkable progress in the liberation of nearly 1,100 prisoners of the Yemeni army and the popular committees, 670 of whom were freed through mediation by the United Nations.

The coalition not only violates the rights of the prisoners but those of the entire people of Yemen who are the victims of the ongoing war.
