WHO urges vigilance as cases related to UK COVID-19 strain appear in other countries

The World Health Organization on Monday urged the public to remain vigilant during the upcoming holiday season as cases related to the United Kingdom's new COVID-19 strain already appeared in other countries. 

Speaking at a press conference in Geneva, Switzerland, WHO technical lead for COVID-19 Maria Van Kerkhove said that counties have started the sequencing of the highly contagious new strain and the search for cases related to the strain.
