The UN Special Rapporteur on human rights in Iran has presented a 28-page report accusing Tehran of violating human rights. Javaid Rehman on Monday, urged Tehran to comply with international obligations.

Talking to Press TV, Head of the Iranian Judiciary's High Council for Human Rights, Ali Baqeri Kani slammed the new report saying the rapporteur’s account is based on unfounded allegations and orchestrated by human rights violators.

Iran's Head of Judiciary High Council for Human Rights also told Press TV that the sources used for this report are not reliable and mostly provided by anti-Iran groups and the MKO.

He said the Special Rapporteur's report is based on allegations and information received from groups affiliated with governments opposed to the Iranian people or terrorist groups.

Baqeri also added that the appointment of Javaid Rehman as Special Rapperteur for Iran was political.
