Another US convoy consisting of vehicles laden with weapons, military equipment, and logistic materials has arrived in Syria’s northeastern province of Hasakah from Iraq.

Local sources told Syria’s official news agency SANA on Monday that the ten-truck convoy belonging to militant groups affiliated to the United States entered the territory on Sunday.

It further said the convoy was heading toward the US bases in the province through the illegal al-Walid crossing in the Yaroubia area.

The report added that the convoy came just a day after a similar convoy of 40 vehicles came to al-Rmelan City in line with plans to boost their illegitimate presence in Syria’s al-Jazeera region.

The US bases in the province and Washington-backed militants, particularly the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), are believed to be pillaging Syria’s oil and mineral resources.

The United States’ looting of the Syrian oil was fist confirmed during a Senate hearing exchange between South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in late July.

On July 30 and during his testimony to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Pompeo confirmed for the first time that an American oil company would begin work in northeastern Syria, which is controlled by militants affiliated with the SDF.

The SDF, an alliance of Kurdish militants operating against Damascus and supported from Washington, currently controls areas in northern and eastern Syria.

SDF militant killed in Raqqah, another injured in Hasakah

Separately on Monday, an SDF militant was killed in the vicinity of the town of Jarniyah, west of Raqqah City, and another was seriously wounded in the city of Shadadi in Hasakah after positions of the militant group came under attack by unknown gunmen, SANA reported.

It added that in similar attacks on Saturday, at least two SDF militants were killed by unknown gunmen, who used machine guns and explosive devices against the SDF positions in al-Houl Camp and Tal al-Shayer in Hasakah countryside.

The SDF-controlled areas in Hasakah and Dayr al-Zawr provinces are witnessing the uncertainty of the time. Raids and arrests of civilians by the militants continue.

Residents accuse the US-sponsored militants of stealing crude oil and refusing to spend money on service sectors.

Local councils affiliated with the SDF are under fire for financial corruption.
