Trump mad at Meadows for contradicting his doctor: Reports

US President Donald Trump is reportedly furious at White House chief of staff Mark Meadows after he contradicted his doctor on Trump’s health condition.

Two sources with knowledge of the matter told CNN on Sunday that Trump, who is being treated for COVID-19 at a military hospital, is angry at his chief of staff after Meadows contradicted what Navy Cmdr. Dr. Sean Conley told reporters about the president’s health.

A source familiar with Trump’s situation said on Saturday some of the president’s “vital signs over the last 24 hours were very concerning,” and the next two days will be critical in terms of his care, Reuters and others reported.

The source, who requested not to be named, said the next 48 hours will be critical in terms of Trump’s care.

An online video revealed that Meadows was that official who talked to pool reporters after Conley’s briefing, according to The Associated Press and The New York Times.

“We’re still not on a clear path to a full recovery,” Meadows said, while requesting not to be named.

This is while Conley had said during the press conference on Saturday at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center that Trump was doing "very well" and "in exceptionally good spirits."

A senior White House official told CNN that President Trump was angry at Meadows for the conflicting message. Another White House official confirmed the president is displeased with Meadows as advisers say the chief of staff’s comments have questioned the credibility of the medical briefings.

Trump's medical team said in an update Sunday to members of the White House press pool that the US president could be released from the military hospital outside Washington where he is being treated for COVID-19.
