Muslim countries should be aware of the plots hatched by the United States and its regional allies and avoid joining that divisive alliance, says a commentator.

Gordon Duff told Press TV on Sunday that the US was “the primary operative” in sowing the seeds of discord and conflict among Muslim nations.

To that end, the US “has managed to cement the very strange alliance between Israel and Saudi Arabia and pulled in other [Persian] Gulf states,” he said, calling for vigilance.

Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani told an annual international conference on Islamic unity in Tehran on Saturday that Muslims had no way but to remain united to achieve victory against US plots.
