Britain’s highest court has ruled that ex-Foreign Secretary Jack Straw, and the UK government must face kidnap and torture claims brought by former Libyan dissident Abdelhakim Belhadj. Lawyers for Belhadj claim he, along with his then-pregnant wife, was handed over to Libyan authorities in 2004 with the help of then-British government and that they were subsequently tortured in the North African country.
