Protesters in the Indian-controlled Kashmir have held a sit-in in the city of Srinagar. Demonstrators were angry over authorities’ decision to shut down printing presses and to temporarily ban newspapers from publishing. The move came after a fresh bout of violence over the death of a pro-independence leader claimed the lives of 43 people. Our correspondent Shahana Butt has the details from the Himalayan region.
