Pakhtakor beat Tractor Sazi 1-0 in AFC Champions League
In the Asian Champions League, Iranian side Tractor Sazi lose points for the 1st time in three matches going down to a 1-nil defeat at the hands of Uzbekistan's Pakhtakor.
Igor Sergeev scored the winner for the home side 4 minutes before half-time. The 22-year old striker unleashed a powerful shot from the edge of the box to keep alive Pakhtakor’s hopes of reaching the next round.
Tractor Sazi had a couple of chances to equalize. Farzad Hatami’s header went just wide before the hour mark. And this effort by Shoja' Khalilzadeh was blocked by Pakhtakor keeper Nikita Ribkin.
Despite the loss, Tractor Sazi lead group C with 6 points from three matches. In the other group match, Saudi side Al-Hilal are home to UAE’s Al-Jazeera.
