Italy’s autonomous region of Sardinia has come up with a virtual currency, the Sardex, in an attempt to revive its economy.

Sardex is a monetary network that connects businesses of any type and size, helping them exchange products and services without using the Italian currency, the Euro. Trust is the key element when it comes to using the Sardex.

Press TV’s Max Civily reports from Cagliari, the capital of Sardinia.
