Since the 2008 revolutionary protests in Kashmir, the Indian government introduced new weapon to deal with crowd control calling it a non-lethal weapon. It was introduced in 2010 and over the past 8 years this weapon has killed maimed and blinded many. Amnesty and other rights bodies are urging India to stop the use of this weapon but so far nothing has happened.
