US must comply with Islamabad MoU, resume talks: Analyst
Sa’d Nimr, Professor of Political Science from Birzeit University, says the US is escalating its attacks on Iran because president Trump believes he has already won the war and cannot understand why Tehran refuses to comply with what he wanted.
He noted that Washington has shifted to striking civilian infrastructure, while Iran continues to retaliate across the region and retains leverage through strategic waterways.
According to Nimr, the US is miscalculating Iran’s resilience and will ultimately have to return to negotiations rather than relying on airstrikes alone.
