PSGA statement of Hormuz Strait

The Persian Gulf Strait Authority has announced that passage through the Strait of Hormuz is currently not possible. The PGSA said the closure is due to recent illegal movements of US military forces in the region. It said as soon as stability and calm are restored, all requests for passage through the strategic waterway will be reviewed and necessary permits will be issued. The PGSA stressed that the only way to obtain a permit for passage is through the official website of the authority. The announcement came after the US Central Command issued a statement, saying that the Strait of Hormuz is open to all vessels and that US forces are positioned to ensure the passage of ships. Centcom also claimed that Iran does not control the strait.

The ministry warned that continued aggression against Iran will harm Washington and its allies and the global economy. The Yemeni armed forces carried out operations against the Israeli regime during the 40-day imposed war on Iran.
