Israel identified approximately 1,000 potential targets a day during the first two years of the genocidal wars in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon using its command and control system, according to a presentation by the regime’s largest arms manufacturer, Elbit Systems.
During a recent military conference in London, the company said the Israeli Tzayad digital army program detected 850,000 targets in real time across all military theaters of war between October 7, 2023 and the end of 2025.
It outlined the count of individuals, vehicles, and various objects identified in real-time for potential follow-up assaults from land, sea, or air, and highlighted the severe intensity of the lethal offensives waged by Israel in the past three years.
At a land warfare conference organized last week by the Royal United Services Institute, Miki Edelstein, an Israeli military reservist major general and executive vice-president of Elbit, presented the total of 850,000.
The second highest-ranking military officer in the US-led NATO military alliance, Britain’s Air Chief Marshal Sir Johnny Stringer, was seated beside him on a panel during the event. Additionally, a brigadier from the British army served as a third speaker in the session.
A presentation slide by Edelstein, aimed at a predominantly military audience, featured a statement regarding the “high-tempo operations” conducted by the Israeli military. It also referenced over 20,000 Israeli army battle plans and 850,000 “R.T. [real-time] intel targets.”
Edelstein characterized the targets as “an enemy that we have not previously recognized,” which “emerges” from underground or through maneuvering. He stated, “We aim to strike it with precision,” yet lamented that “we lack sufficient ammunition” to do so right away.
Wes Bryant, who formerly served as a senior targeting adviser and policy analyst at the US Pentagon and specialized in assessing civilian harm, stated that he found the figure of 850,000 to be extremely alarming.
In the lead-up to October 2023, Gaza had a population of 2.2 million and approximately 300,000 buildings. Bryant noted that the area emerged as the central conflict zone in the two years that followed, implying that the Israeli military had potentially aimed at “up to or over half of the entire population and infrastructure” at various points.
Elbit provides the Israeli army’s Tzayad, also known as the Hunter digital army program, which is a command system designed to track the locations of both friendly forces and identified adversaries. Earlier this year, the company secured a contract to enhance Tzayad by incorporating artificial intelligence to aid in tactical decision-making.
Launched on October 7, 2023, with the support of the United States, the Israeli genocidal war against Gaza has caused significant damage, destroying nearly 90% of the civilian infrastructure and resulting in the loss of over 73,000 Palestinian lives.
According to Lebanese authorities, Israeli military offensives in Lebanon since March 2, 2026, have led to the deaths of at least 4,303 individuals and injuries to 12,202 others, while displacing over one million people.
