Honoring martyred Leader
Funeral prayers for martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and several members of his family have been held in Tehran, with large masses of mourners in attendance. The prayers were performed at Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla in the Iranian capital. Grand Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani Tabrizi led the solemn prayers, invoking God's blessing and clemency upon the ascended souls. Mourners maintained their presence at the Grand Mosalla following the prayers, chanting slogans against the US and Israel and calling for revenge. This is for the second day in a row that the venue is witnessing huge crowds of Iranians paying respect to the martyred leader. There will be a funeral procession in Tehran also on Monday. Afterwards, the holy city of Qom in Iran and the Iraqi cities of Najaf and Karbala will host funeral ceremonies. The martyred leader will be laid to rest in the holy city of Mashhad on Thursday.
Hailing nation's mass turnout
The secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council says enemies must keep an open eye for Iran and see the mass turnout in the funeral of the country's martyred leader. In a message, Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr said participants flooding the ceremony to bid farewell to their leader cried out resistance against enemies and revenge for his blood. The top security official said this is the same Iran enemies dreamed of finishing in a few days in the recent aggression.
Iran army warns enemies
The spokesman of the Iranian army warns any mistake by the enemy will draw a decisive and crushing response by the Iranian armed forces. Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia says Iran has time and again announced that it is using the ceasefire to optimize its combat capabilities. The general says the armed forces have missed no chance to upgrade themselves. Akraminia made the comment on the sidelines of the funeral ceremony for the late leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei. The general expressed hope that the occasion serves as a wake-up call for the international community to stand up to oppression and rid the world of arrogant powers.
