Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf has issued a warning to the Israeli regime, saying that the enemy will never be able to single out any part of the resistance, and that Iran’s powerful diplomacy alongside the bravery of Lebanese fighters will guarantee Lebanon’s sovereignty and dismantle Israeli warmongering.
"They can never isolate any part of the resistance. The jihad of Lebanon’s valiant fighters and the authoritative diplomacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran will guarantee the sovereignty and territorial integrity of dear Lebanon, and will put an end to the Zionist regime’s insanity and warmongering,” Qalibaf said in a post on X on Sunday.
Addressing the Israeli regime directly, Qalibaf concluded with a Persian idiom meaning "go ahead and make your move, we will respond in kind."
The statement came hours after Israeli forces bombed the southern suburbs of Beirut, killing at least three people, including a senior Hezbollah commander.
The attack violated a fragile ceasefire that has been in place since early April, which halted direct US-Israeli aggression on Iranian territory but did not explicitly cover Lebanon.
Iran has consistently stated since the April ceasefire that any attack on resistance forces, including in Lebanon, would be treated as a breach of the truce.
Earlier this month, Iran conducted missile strikes on Israeli‑occupied territories for the first time since the 40-day war of aggression in response to previous Israeli attacks on the southern suburbs of Beirut.
