Iran's Armed Forces have described the recent martyrdom of the country's top security official and the commander of its volunteer Basij force as a source of strength for the nation in its ongoing confrontation in the face of adversaries.
In a statement on Wednesday, the General Staff of the Armed Forces and the Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters, the country's highest operational command unit, commented on the martyrdom of Dr. Ali Larijani, secretary of the Islamic Republic's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), and the Basij Commander Major General Gholamreza Soleimani.
'Nation to bring enemy to its knees'
The officials' martyrdom "at the hands of the Zionist terrorist regime under the guidance of the criminal United States will further strengthen the determination of the brave Iranian nation to bring the enemy to its knees," the statement read.
The officials' martyrdom were confirmed a day earlier amid ongoing unprovoked American-Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic.
Since the launch of the aggression, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has staged at least 63 waves of decisive retaliatory strikes against sensitive and strategic American and Zionist targets throughout the region.
The Corps has pledged to sustain the reprisal until the enemies' "complete defeat."
