Iranian intelligence forces have identified and captured 110 pro-monarchy mercenaries in 26 provinces of the country, who were planning to conduct acts of sabotage amid the US-Israeli onslaught against the Islamic Republic.
According to a statement released by the Intelligence Ministry on Wednesday, weapons and communications devices were also seized during the operation.
The statement added that 110 chieftains of the so-called "Zionist troops" terrorist outfit were also captured in the preemptive operation in 26 provinces, and a considerable number of cold weapons and firearms, shockers, batons, paint sprays, banners, flags, as well as face masks were recovered from them.
The Intelligence Ministry went on to note that two individuals involved in espionage activities at the behest of the United States were also detained in the western province of Hamedan.
The pair had reportedly received training at a US-operated and so-called cultural center in some neighboring countries, prior to the onset of the latest US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran, and were reporting on the arms depots and congregation points of provincial security forces to enemies using Starlink satellite internet terminals.
Moreover, two spies were detained in the northwestern West Azarbaijan Province.
The two individuals, hired by an intelligence service based in the semi-autonomous Kurdistan region of northern Iraq, were spying for the US and Israeli regime.
Additionally, two consignments of munitions, including 29 pistols, two Kalashnikov assault rifles, and 58 bullet magazines were confiscated in the western province of Kermanshah as they were being smuggled into the country from the Iraqi Kurdish region.
Another consignment, comprising eight pistols, 161 bullets, a handheld radio, 21 Molotov cocktails, and a large number of cold weapons were also seized in the northeastern province of Khorasan Razavi.
Several individuals were also arrested in connection with the seized weapons.
Furthermore, another 21 people were detained in Tehran, Hamedan, Fars and West Azarbaijan provinces.
They were filming security checkpoints, sensitive centers, camps of law enforcement forces, and trying send them to the Israeli-funded and so-called Iran International television news network.
In a related development, two large consignments of Starlink satellite internet terminals were confiscated in the southern coastal province of Hormuzgan.
