The Iranian Army has announced that its forces carried out a massive drone attack against American and Zionist targets.

In a short statement released on Sunday, the Army said a massive drone attack was carried out against American zionist targets with a variety of destructive and combat unmanned aerial vehicles, commonly referred to as drones, striking military positions and economic targets of the enemy zionists.

The Islamic Republic of Iran's Army said in its 3rd announcement that it targeted the interests of the Zionist adversaries and American bases in the region.

"In continuation of the operation of the Islamic Republic of Iran's army against the zionist-American enemy, the brave men of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army, since last night, have targeted the positions and interests of the zionist enemy and American bases in the region with a new wave of widespread attacks using various types of destructive and combat drones."

The statement also emphasized once again that the offensive and defensive operations of the Islamic Republic of Iran's army units have been continued with crushing and nonstop strikes, and in the coming hours completed reports of our proud military operations will be relayed to the noble Iranian nation.

The Islamic Republic of Iran's army announced in a separate statement that the Air Force's fighter jets had successfully bombed US bases in the Persian Gulf and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq during several stages of the operation.

The Army pointed out that all enemy military bases in the region are within the reach of the Iranian Air Force.

The General Staff of Iran's Armed Forces issued a statement earlier, warning the  Israeli regime and the United States that they will "regret" the new war of aggression against the Islamic Republic.

Iran's retaliatory attacks took place after the US and Israeli regime forces launched the war against Iran on Saturday.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and several top commanders of the armed forces were martyred in the early strikes launched by the Zionist regime and the United States.

A 40-day mourning period and seven public holidays were announced following the death of the Leader.
