In recent weeks, Washington has expanded its military presence near Iran, reinforcing naval and aerial assets in the Persian Gulf, conducting repeated bomber rotations, and deploying advanced systems to bases in countries bordering the region.
Iran has maintained a firm stance against any threats of military action, asserting that any assault on its territory will elicit a decisive response and emphasizing that deterrence, rather than aggression, underpins its defense strategy.
Senior Iranian military officials have stated that US bases and assets in the region would become immediate targets in the event of an attack, highlighting the considerable risks associated with American provocations.
The arrival of the CGS-12 comes amid the scheduled resumption of indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the US in Geneva for Thursday.
