Unity against pressure

Iran’s president says the country will not bow to pressure by global powers, insisting that the key to overcoming hostilities is national unity and solidarity. Speaking at a ceremony honoring Iran’s Paralympic medalists, Masoud Pezeshkian said his administration is committed to safeguarding the nation’s dignity. He described the administration’s main mission as ‘healing the wounds of society’ and fostering unity. Pezeshkian expressed confidence that Iran would overcome current difficulties, noting that final victory belongs to a nation that has chosen steadfastness.

US support for Israel’s expansionism

The US ambassador to Israel says it would be "fine" if the regime expanded its occupied territories across West Asia. In an interview, Mike Huckabee endorsed the concept of Israel controlling land "from the Nile to the Euphrates," a region encompassing several Arab countries plus the occupied Palestinian territories. He later called the remark "hyperbolic" but left the door open for expansion in war. This comes as Israeli far-right figures, including Bezalel Smotrich, have openly advocated territorial expansion into neighboring countries. International law prohibits the acquisition of territory by force while a 2024 ruling by the International Court of Justice declares Israeli occupation illegal.

Lebanon funeral

Funeral ceremonies have been held for the victims of Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley and Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp. Mourners condemned the continued Israeli aggression against Lebanon, urging that the regime to be brought to justice. They also called for an end to the Israeli violations of the 2024 ceasefire. The funeral ceremony was held a day after at least a dozen people were killed and over 30 injured in separate Israeli strikes on the Riyaq-Baalbek area in the eastern Bekaa Valley and the Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp near the southern city of Sidon. The Hezbollah resistance movement has confirmed eight of the victims were its fighters. The attacks drew condemnations from Lebanese officials, regional countries and resistance groups.
