Palestinian journalist and Press TV contributor, Latifa Abouchakra, was arrested by British police as she made her way to an anti-Zionist political meeting but was released from detention after almost 24 hours in custody by UK police.
Abouchakra, herself a displaced Palestinian living in the UK, was due to appear as a panelist at the launch of a coalition of activists seeking to challenge the Zionist stranglehold over the British state.
West Midlands Police stopped Abouchakra as she drove to the venue in the city of Birmingham on Sunday; a statement later released by that police force said that she had been arrested for alleged incitement to racial hatred.
In the same statement, the police made an astonishing confession that they were engaging in political censorship and interference by targeting the meeting of the anti-Zionist movement, and that they were working on the direct orders of the local Zionist Jewish community in Birmingham.
This seems to be … very political action taken to appease the Zionists and also to undermine the right and freedom of individuals to go about their lawful campaigning against genocide.

Abouchakra gave a speech in Birmingham last year slamming all forms of supremacy, including the Jewish supremacy underpinning the Israeli regime.
The hysterical reaction of Jewish lobbyists to that speech led to them calling for her arrest.
Just listen to the speeches of those in power in Israel, and, you know, you come to your own conclusion.
The fact is that they say very clearly that you could even kill a child, Palestinian child, because it will grow up to be a terrorist.
They say that these people don't have the equal right to themselves. They're not equal human beings.

West Midlands Police are the same force who banned Jewish hooligans from Maccabi Tel Aviv from attending a game against local club Aston Villa.
Following that decision, their leadership came under huge pressure, forcing the chief of the local force to step down.
Observers are in no doubt that the forces decision to arrest Abouchakra was in no small part motivated by a desire to appease the Jewish Lobby and grant them their proverbial pound of flesh.
