At least nine killed in multi-building collapse in Lebanon as search and rescue continues

Lebanese emergency teams scrambled to the Bab al-Tabbaneh area in Tripoli, northern Lebanon, on Sunday after at least nine people were killed and more injured in a multi-building collapse.

Footage shows rescue teams and their vehicles at work, as well as other images of injured people being transported to an ambulance.

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun reportedly called on all available emergency teams to mobilise, according to local media.

The Al-Qubba neighborhood in Tripoli experienced another building collapse just two weeks ago, as the city struggles with a large number of dilapidated and unsafe buildings.
