Documents recently released by the US Department of Justice have revealed that former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak frequently resided in an apartment in New York that was offered by convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Israeli daily Haaretz disclosed on Sunday that numerous email correspondence with Epstein and his assistants centered around Barak's visits to the apartment from 2015 to 2019.
Barak's spouse, Nili, often interacted with the personal assistant and maintenance team of Epstein, who called the residence “Ehud's apartment.”
Epstein owned additional apartments in the same building, which he utilized to entertain guests and “models” he brought in from various countries, with some of them being as young as 13.
Nili often conversed with Epstein and his staff, arranging meetings for herself and her husband with the convicted sex offender.
Directly communicating with the staff, Nili provided details about when she and Barak would arrive. She requested that groceries, coffee, and flowers be sent to the apartment and also asked for an upgrade to a quicker internet service.
The couple resided in the apartment for several months consecutively, and at one point, Nili said, “Hi Jeffrey … It is a whole different feeling to be in an apartment. We live like New Yorkers.”
The back-and-forth emails persisted until just a few weeks before Epstein's second arrest in 2019, during which he was suspected of operating a sex trafficking network that included minors.
Nili sent an email to Epstein's team informing them that she and Barak intended to visit the apartment again for another stay, only two weeks before the arrest.
Following Epstein's second arrest in 2019, Barak revealed that he had encountered him “at least ten times,” yet never in the company of women or girls.
Virginia Giuffre, who is one of the most notable victims of Epstein, has filed court documents claiming that Barak raped her.
According to earlier reports from Drop Site News media outlet, Barak and Epstein shared a close friendship, working together to facilitate personal business arrangements and to negotiate political deals on behalf of Israel with various foreign nations.
A document from the 2020 FBI files on Epstein, recently made public, says that Epstein received training as a spy from Barak.
The information in the document originates from a confidential source, who is an informant for the FBI.
This document was part of millions of pages released recently by the US Justice Department during ongoing federal inquiries into Epstein and his network.
The informant suggested that Epstein was deemed to be functioning as an agent for Israeli spy services.
The document states that Epstein's attorney for many years, Alan Dershowitz, informed then-US Attorney Alex Acosta that Epstein was affiliated with both US and allied spy agencies.
