Iran nuclear negotiations

Iran's Foreign Ministry says necessary plans have been made for negotiations between Iran and the United States to be held within the next few days. According to the Foreign Ministry's spokesman, consultations are still underway to determine the location of the talks, which will be announced as soon as a final decision is made. Esmaeil Baghaei commended all friendly countries that worked with concern and goodwill to pave the way for the formulation of a diplomatic process. He stressed that determining the location and time of the talks is not a complicated issue, and should not be subject to media hype. Baghaei added that Turkey, Oman, and some other countries in the region have expressed their readiness to host the talks. His remarks came after earlier in the day, Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian said he has instructed the foreign minister to pursue fair and equitable negotiations with the US, provided that a suitable environment exists free from threats and unreasonable expectations. He stressed that negotiations must be conducted within the framework of Iran's national interests, guided by the principles of dignity, prudence, and expediency.

Iran drone power

An Iranian surveillance drone, which was conducting a routine mission in international waters, has successfully completed its mission. This, according to Iranian media citing an informed source. The informed source emphasized that the unmanned aircraft, which was operated by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, was a Shahed-129 drone conducting its routine and legal mission of reconnaissance, monitoring, and imaging in international waters. The source added that the drone’s mission is considered a standard and lawful procedure, and it successfully transmitted its surveillance and reconnaissance footage to the command center. The source, however, added that after sending data, the drone lost contact with its base and the cause of this disconnection is currently under investigation, with further details to be released once finalized. The source’s remarks came after the US Central Command claimed that it had targeted an Iranian drone after it approached an American aircraft carrier in the Central Asia region. CENTCOM alleged that the drone was getting close to the Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier in the Arabian Sea.
