Humanitarian crisis in Gaza

Israel’s ceasefire violations claim more civilian lives across the Gaza Strip, as more women and children fall victim to the regime’s new strikes. According to Palestinian sources, deadly Israeli attacks continue across the war-torn territory, killing more than four hundred Palestinians since the ceasefire started. One of the latest attacks killed two civilians in the eastern part of Gaza City. Gaza’s medical sources reported 12 new deaths within 24 hours, including eight bodies recovered from under the rubble, and four new fatalities. Israel’s artillery fire also targeted the al-Maghazi refugee camp and a village in central Gaza. Meanwhile, heavy machine gun fire hit Gaza City’s al-Tuffah neighborhood, while artillery shelling struck the al-Bureij refugee camp. The Israeli genocide in Gaza has killed nearly 70,940 civilians since October 2023, leaving more than 171,190 others injured.

Slamming Israel NGOs restrictions

An international charity organization has sounded a serious alarm about new Israeli measures related to the registration of international non-governmental organizations in the occupied Palestinian territories. Doctors Without Borders warned that the new Israeli rules for registering international NGOs could deprive hundreds of thousands of people in Gaza of life-saving healthcare in 2026. MSF said failure to comply with these procedures would prevent organizations, including MSF itself, from providing essential services to Palestinians in Gaza. The organization said based on new Israeli rules, the regime could revoke registrations of many international NGOs by January the first. It stressed that the absence of independent, experienced humanitarian organizations amid the widespread destruction of Gaza’s healthcare system would constitute a “real catastrophe.” MSF urged Israeli authorities to ensure that international NGOs are able to continue their independent and impartial humanitarian response in Gaza. It emphasized that the humanitarian response in the war-torn territory is already severely constrained and cannot withstand “further dismantling.”

Us-Venezuela tensions

Venezuela’s foreign minister has slammed the US military buildup in the Caribbean, saying the deployment is harming the flow of oil and energy in the region, and increasing instability in global markets. Yvan Gil demanded the immediate cessation of Washington’s military deployment, blockade of Venezuela, and armed attacks. He called for the activation of multilateral mechanisms to investigate and prevent recurrence of such events. His comments followed the US seizure of two oil tankers that carried Venezuelan oil. The US Coast Guard said on Sunday that it was pursuing a third tanker transporting oil in international waters near Venezuela, but did not succeed in seizing it. US President Donald Trump has announced a naval blockade against all sanctioned oil tankers entering or leaving Venezuela. Caracas has described US actions as serious international piracy, saying they will be reported to the United Nations Security Council and other multilateral organizations.
