India faces backlash over nationwide voter list revision drive

India’s Election Commission has launched a massive campaign to revise voter lists across the country, triggering a pushback from Opposition parties.

They accuse the federal government, led by the right-wing BJP, of trying to influence poll outcomes by disenfranchising some sections, including Muslims. Our correspondent Aadil Mir reports from New Delhi.
