Israel ceasefire violations
Several days after the enforcement of the Gaza ceasefire deal, Israeli forces continue to violate the agreement by conducting new strikes and killing more Palestinian civilians. In one of the latest attacks, Israeli shelling killed three civilians in Gaza City. Two more Palestinians lost their lives in a drone strike in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood of the city. The UN rights office has confirmed that Israeli forces continue to kill civilians in areas surrounding the redeployment lines. Gaza’s medical sources say they have received 25 bodies, including sixteen recovered from under the rubble, as well as 35 injuries, during the past 24 hours. The territory’s health officials also received 45 bodies of Palestinians that had been handed over by the Israeli regime to the Red Cross. The Israeli genocide has killed more than 67,900 Palestinians since October 2023, leaving nearly 170,170 others injured, most of them women and children.
Israel West Bank incursions
Israeli forces and settlers press ahead with their violent attacks on the Palestinian people in the occupied West Bank. The homes of newly liberated abductees, who were released from Israel jails under the recent Gaza ceasefire deal, are among their main targets. In one of the latest incidents, Israeli forces stormed several neighborhoods in the cities of Ramallah and al-Bireh, raiding the homes of former abductees and exiled Palestinians. According to local sources, the regime’s forces attacked the homes of several newly released prisoners and their relatives, as well as the home of a Palestinian recently killed by Israeli forces. In another development, a Palestinian resident was injured this evening after being attacked by armed Israeli settlers east of al-Khalil. Local sources say the 41-year-old man was beaten by a group of armed settlers at the entrance of Birin village, suffering multiple cuts and bruises across his body. Earlier the same day, Israeli forces attacked a 57-year-old Palestinian from Jenin Governorate, beating him hard on the head, which lead to his death.
Genocide in Gaza
Iran has called on the Non-Aligned Movement to use all international legal mechanisms, including the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court, to hold the perpetrators of genocide in Gaza accountable. Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, was addressing the NAM ministerial meeting’s Palestine committee in Uganda. He said what occurred in Gaza was not a war, but a carefully planned genocide, and a campaign aimed at the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. Araghchi said the relentless Israeli bombings massacred families in their tents, devastated schools and hospitals, and targeted aid convoys with complete impunity. He emphasized that while any plan to end the killing and genocide in Gaza should be welcomed, the root causes of such crimes must also be addressed. Araghchi stressed that only a peace plan grounded in justice can bring lasting stability to Gaza. He called for the complete withdrawal of the occupying forces from Gaza, and the return of displaced civilians to their homes. Araghchi also highlighted the international community’s responsibility to halt Israel’s ongoing violations of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
