US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

Israel continues its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, killing more Palestinians, bombarding homes, hospitals, and ambulances across the besieged territory. In one of the latest attacks, seven Palestinians were killed, most of them children, after Israeli aircraft bombed a displacement camp in Gaza City’s port area. Two other people were killed near al-Hajj Bakery in the Nuseirat refugee camp. Israel’s intensified attacks have forced international humanitarian organizations, including the World Health Organization and the International Committee of the Red Cross, to stop their operations in Gaza City.

Condemning Israeli crimes

Worldwide rallies have been held in support of Palestine and in condemnation of Israel’s interception of the Gaza-bound Sumud flotilla in international waters. Protesters in the Colombian capital held large banners and Palestinian flags in a show of solidarity. They called for the liberation of the Palestinian territories. Also in Malaysia, Hundreds gathered in front of the US embassy in Kuala Lumpur to protest against Israel's detention of activists aboard the Gaza-bound aid flotilla. They also urged an immediate end to the Gaza genocide. Elsewhere in Bangladesh, a large protest followed the Friday prayers, after which several thousand demonstrators took to the streets chanting anti-Israel slogans and carrying Palestinian flags and placards to condemn Israel’s seizure of aid ships. Similar rallies were held in several European capitals, such as Rome and Paris. Israeli naval forces have stopped all ships and boats belonging to the Gaza-bound Flotilla that set sail in August with the aim of breaking the siege of Gaza.

Russia-West tensions

The Russian President has warned against Europe’s escalating militarization amid the war with Ukraine. Putin added that such countermeasures from Russia won’t take long. The Russian head of state said all NATO states are at war with Moscow, stressing that his country will respond quickly to any threat against its security and peace. Putin made the remarks during the "Valdai Discussion Club" in Sochi. Elsewhere in his comments, he warned that supplying US Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine would lead to a whole new level of escalation, including in Moscow-Washington relations.
