'UK a military participant!': Rally slams 'RAF spy flights over Gaza' from Cyprus airbase outside Defense Ministry building
Dozens of people joined the ‘Global Day of Action: supply chain of death’ rally in front of the Defence Ministry in London on Sunday, to protest British military assistance to Israel in Gaza.
Footage shows protesters chanting ‘British bases out’ and waving various flags, including Palestinian and Cypriot. Signs declaring ‘No spy planes for genocide’ and ‘RAF complicit’ can also be seen, among others.
Protesters said the UK military and intelligence were supplying the Israeli military with strategic information about Gaza since the Israel-Hamas war broke out. Some insisted that those involved should be tried before the International Court in The Hague.
According to the investigative journalist, ‘60 percent of all intelligence planes’ detected flying over Gaza were British.
“These planes can do target acquisition. They can hoover up intelligence on the ground. They can effectively play a military purpose in the genocide. And the UK government's secrecy surrounding this is a massive cause for concern,” McEvoy commented.
