US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

The US-Israeli genocide in Gaza continues unabated. The deadly strikes are claiming more lives across the besieged strip by the hour, mostly innocent women and children. In a devastating attack north of Gaza City, fourteen members of a single family were killed when their home was struck. The Daraj neighborhood also came under fire from Israeli drones, resulting in the death of a child and injuries to several others. In the Nuseirat refugee camp, another Palestinian civilian was targeted by drone fire. Meanwhile, in southern Gaza near Rafah, Israeli forces opened fire on civilians seeking aid, killing one and injuring multiple others. Khan Yunis witnessed further bloodshed, with three Palestinians killed in a bombing on the city’s northern edge. Medical sources report that at least 53 people have been killed across Gaza today alone, the majority of them women and children. Since the escalation began in October 2023, the death toll has surpassed 64,700, with more than 164,000 others wounded.

Yemen's support for Palestine

Yemenis have once again held a mass rally in the northern city of Sa’ada to reaffirm their solidarity with Palestinians and condemn the repeated Israeli attacks against their country. The demonstrators carried Yemeni and Palestinian flags, and chanted slogans in condemnation of the Israeli crimes in Gaza as well as the aggression against Yemen. They also expressed support for the Yemeni armed forces for their anti-Israel operations. Yemenis have been holding pro-Palestine rallies almost every Friday since the beginning of the genocide in Gaza in October 2023.

Charlie Kirk's assassination

The Governor of the US state of Utah has announced that the suspect in the fatal shooting of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk is now in custody. Cox described Kirk’s killing as a political assassination, citing engravings on the bullet casings as evidence of a politically motivated attack. Authorities have identified the suspect as Tyler Robinson. The suspect had evaded law enforcement for over 24 hours following Wednesday’s incident, in which a sniper fired a single, fatal shot during Kirk’s appearance at Utah Valley University in Orem. The assassination underscores growing concerns over the vulnerability of security protocols in the US amid a surge in politically motivated violence across the country.
