Yemen anti-Israel operations
The Yemeni army has carried out a new military operation in support of Palestine and in response to the Israeli regime’s aggression against Yemen. The spokesman of Yemeni Armed Forces Yahya Saree added that the operation prompted Israeli settlers to rush to shelters, and led to the suspension of Israeli airport operations. He emphasized that the strike was part of the Yemeni Armed Forces’ initial response to the Israeli aggression against Yemen. Saree said the Israeli enemy will not enjoy security or stability, vowing that such operations will continue with escalating intensity in the coming days.
Genocide, starvation in Gaza
Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza rages on, claiming more civilian lives, including those suffering from hunger amid the regime’s blockade of the strip. At least 5 people were killed and several others wounded in an airstrike targeting a residential building west of Gaza City. Three people lost their lives and over fifty others were wounded in the southern Gaza city of Rafah, where Israeli forces opened fire on aid seekers. An Israeli drone strike also hit the Nuseirat refugee camp, leaving multiple residents injured. Meanwhile, the Palestinian health ministry confirmed six deaths due to hunger in a matter of 24 hours, bringing to 367 the total number of malnutrition-related fatalities. The death toll from the US-Israeli genocide since October 2023 has surpassed 63,630, with more than 160,900 others injured.
Anti-Netanyahu protests
Fresh protests have erupted in the occupied al-Quds against the Israeli prime minister’s handling of the Gaza war. In one of those protests, a group of Israelis gathered near the Knesset building. A number of protesters also gained access to the roof of the National Library building, near the Knesset, to voice their anger at the regime’s policies on Gaza. Elsewhere in al-Quds, in the vicinity of Netanyahu’s residence, protesters set several recycling bins alight. Footage shows that a number of cars were set on fire as well. Dozens of demonstrators also gathered outside the home of an Israeli minister, accusing him of failing to secure a deal that would take the captives back home.
