US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

The US-Israeli genocidal war is continuing in Gaza. More innocent Palestinians are falling victim to the regime's relentless airstrikes while its complete blockade restricts humanitarian aid into the territory. At least 61 people have been killed and over 300 wounded in the latest Israeli attacks. Sixteen people waiting in line to receive aid were among the dead. Another 17 were killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted tents housing displaced Palestinians in the southern Asdaa neighborhood. Two people also lost their lives and 14 were wounded in an Israeli drone strike on a tent in Khan Yunis in the south, while an airstrike on the central Sabra neighborhood killed one and injured several others. Meanwhile, Gaza’s health authorities report that eight people, including two children, have died from malnutrition in 24 hours. The death toll from the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza since October 2023 has now surpassed 62,600, with over 157,600 injured.

Russia-Ukraine war

Russia has taken hold of two more villages in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region, bringing it closer to Kiev’s key defensive line. Moscow has now seized five villages in two days. Meanwhile, an energy facility in Russia’s Bryansk region has caught fire due to Ukrainian missile and drone attacks. These attacks come as hopes for a summit between Russian and Ukrainian leaders are fading. US President Donald Trump had initially pushed for a trilateral meeting with the Ukrainian and Russian leaders as part of peace efforts. But he now likens the idea to “mixing oil and vinegar.” Russia’s Foreign Minister says that no meeting has been planned, citing the absence of a clear agenda and questioning Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s legitimacy. Sergey Lavrov also emphasized that Moscow cannot be excluded from discussions on security guarantees for Kiev.

Iran military readiness

The chief commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps says his forces are fully prepared to respond to any aggression by the Israeli regime. Major General Mohammad Pakpour warned that any new attack will draw a harsher response by Iran than the one delivered during the 12-Day imposed war. Iran’s Defense Minister also says the country has advanced capabilities, such as missiles, which have been never used, including against Israel in the 12-day war. Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh also noted that the untapped capabilities would have been used if the enemy had expanded the 12-Day aggression to ground and marine warfare.
