US-Israeli Gaza genocide

The Israeli military continues striking Gaza, killing more Palestinian civilians in its latest round of attacks. Aid distribution centers have become the primary targets of direct Israeli fire. Nearly a dozen Palestinians were shot dead while waiting to receive aid in the Sudaniya area, northwest of the Gaza Strip. Around a dozen other aid seekers were killed near the Netzarim corridor in central Gaza. Several other aid distribution centers across the territory were also the scene of direct Israeli fire at Palestinians. The regime also continues to hit other parts of Gaza with air and artillery fire, which resulted in multiple fatalities. The US-Israeli genocide, which began in October 2023, has so far killed more than 59,700 Palestinians and left nearly 144,500 others injured.

Gaza humanitarian crisis

The Israeli army has announced a pause in its military operations in some parts of the Gaza Strip for the safe passage of UN aid convoys as a hunger crisis is spreading across the Palestinian territory. The regime’s military says it will halt activity in Muwasi, Deir al-Balah and Gaza City from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time every day until further notice. It added that it would establish secure routes for the safe passage of UN and humanitarian aid convoys. Following the announcement, dozens of aid trucks carrying much-needed aid from Egypt and Jordan entered Gaza. It comes amid a worsening humanitarian crisis that has seen more than 120 people die from malnutrition-related causes since the beginning of Israel's onslaught in 2023.

Anti-Israeli protests

Thousands of people have taken to the streets of Indonesia’s capital to denounce a hunger crisis in the Gaza Strip amid growing protests against Israel’s starvation policy in the besieged territory. The protesters gathered in front of the US Embassy in Jakarta to voice their concerns about the growing crisis in Gaza, which has been caused by months of Israel’s blockade. The demonstrators banged pots and pans to symbolize the hunger Palestinians are facing as a result of Israel’s systematic policy of starvation. They called for humanitarian aid to be allowed into Gaza and urged more political pressure on the Israeli regime to lift the restrictions. In recent days, major cities across the world like London, Rome, New York and Paris have been the scene of such rallies.
