Mossad-affiliated network dismantled in Iran amid imposed war; a spy executed

Mohammad Amin Mahdavi-Shayesteh, the ringleader of a cyberteam affiliated with Mossad, was executed in Iran on June 23, 2025.

Iranian security agencies have dismantled a network affiliated with the Israeli spy agency Mossad amid the ongoing war imposed on the Islamic Republic and executed its ring-leader.

The agent had been providing sensitive intelligence to the Zionist regime and was executed early on Monday following a conviction and completion of due process, with the ruling upheld by Iran’s Supreme Court.

Identified as Mohammad Amin Mahdavi-Shayesteh, he was the ringleader of a cyber-team affiliated with Mossad and had knowingly collaborated with the spy agency of the Zionist regime.

The anti-Iranian cyber network operated through cyberspace, social media platforms, and foreign messaging applications, all under the direct supervision of Israeli regime officers.

As the ringleader, Mahdavi-Shayesteh managed the vast network, relayed Mossad officers’ instructions, and led both online and field operations.

After establishing initial contact with his Mossad handler, Mahdavi-Shayesteh traveled to a neighboring country for training and coordination, where he operated under the guise of a representative of a company involved in immigration services.

In that country, he met multiple times with two Mossad officers. Due to his experience and skills in digital platforms and social media, he was recruited as a key Mossad operative, tasked with managing parts of Mossad’s psychological and media warfare in Iran.

Based on his handler’s instructions, Mahdavi-Shayesteh took charge of a cyber-network whose primary task was to create propaganda brands and produce content using social media and messaging platforms against Iran’s armed forces and to launch websites under the directives of the Israeli spy service.

Upon receiving direct orders, Mahdavi-Shayesteh trained other members of the network in the methods he had learned from Mossad officers known by the aliases “Manijeh” and “Reza.”

A significant detail in this Mossad cyber network case is its close and direct connection with the Persian-language, London-based terrorist TV channel Iran International, which is supported by the Zionist regime.

The fabricated content produced by this Mossad-affiliated cyber team served as source material for Iran International reports, helping attract audiences to the channels affiliated with Mahdavi-Shayesteh’s operation.

In addition to his digital efforts, Mahdavi-Shayesteh was trusted by Mossad officers to build networks for on-the-ground operations.

During his collaboration with Mossad, Mahdavi-Shayesteh formed and led operational teams, carried out important field missions such as filming sensitive sites, sent threatening packages on behalf of Mossad to targeted individuals, harassed and intimidated selected targets, and recorded and transmitted videos and images of these actions to his handlers via secure communication channels.

His role within the network was described as central and pivotal.

It comes a day after Majid Mosayebi, a man convicted on charges of spying for Israel, was executed. He had provided "sensitive information" to Mossad.

36 arrested in northern Iran for collaborating with Israel

The police commander of northern Gilan province announced the arrest of 36 individuals on charges of collaborating with the hostile Zionist enemy.

Brigadier General Hossein Hasanpour also revealed the seizure of large quantities of explosives and communication equipment, including acidic batteries, telecommunications devices, drones, handmade bombs, Starlink internet receivers, ready-to-detonate explosive packages, and a wide range of other unauthorized electronic devices.

He stated that the Gilan police force, fully prepared and with maximum personnel deployment, has set up temporary checkpoints throughout the province.

Since the Israeli regime launched its unprovoked US-backed aggression against Iran on June 13, many military commanders, nuclear scientists, and ordinary civilians—including women and children—have been killed.

In addition, several Iranian military installations and nuclear sites across the country have been unlawfully targeted in Israeli strikes.

Over the past few days, in response to the recent acts of aggression by Israel, Iranian authorities have arrested many individuals for spying for Israel’s Mossad agency.

On June 16, Esmaeil Fekri, convicted of collaborating with the Israeli Mossad spy agency and attempting to share classified and sensitive information with the occupying Tel Aviv regime in exchange for money was executed.
