'Operation True Promise III'

Iran's armed forces have carried out a large-scale military operation against Israel, in retaliation for the Tel Aviv regime's aggression against Iran. The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps said a number of key Israeli military and air bases were targeted with missiles and suicide drones during the operation condemned "True Promise three”. Israeli media report that at least three Israelis were killed, and over 170 others were injured. Israeli military has confirmed that at least seven soldiers are among the wounded. Israel’s Ben Gurion airport has also been shut down amid concerns over more Iranian retaliatory strikes. The Islamic Republic has vowed to give a crushing response to Israel’s Friday aggression and assassination of a number of top Iranian military commanders and nuclear scientists as well as the killing of civilians. Before the launch of the retaliatory strikes, the leader of the Islamic Revolution said Israel will be punished.

Display of national unity

Iranians have attended public gatherings across the country, including in the capital Tehran, to celebrate Eid al-Ghadir in defiance of the ongoing Israeli aggression. The religious and cultural celebration has transformed into a massive display of national solidarity and resilience against adversaries. The event is dubbed as Sword of Ali in reference to First Shia Imam who fought many battles. The atmosphere has been deeply symbolic, with a 10-kilometer path dedicated to the event in Tehran. Along the route, 2,400 community-run stations have been set up, offering diverse services with the participation of over 100-thousand volunteers. Other countries including Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, India, Pakistan, Nigeria, have also organized similar large-scale ceremonies.

Iran-US indirect talks

Iran’s foreign minister says the continuation of indirect talks with the US amid Israel’s savagery is “unjustifiable.” Abbas Araghchi strongly condemned Israel’s violation of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He said the US president’s threats against Iran proved that Israel’s hostile measures were the result of Washington’s direct support for the regime. Iran’s top diplomat noted that the international community should show a decisive reaction in condemnation of Israel's aggression. Araghchi made the remarks in a phone conversation with the European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas. The call comes a day after the Israeli regime launched deadly aggression against civilian and military areas in the capital, Tehran, and other major cities in Iran.
