Slamming Gaza 'catastrophe'

Seven European leaders have called on Israel to immediately reverse its policy of blocking aid from entering Gaza, and stop its military operations. In a statement, the leaders vowed not to remain silent in the face of what they called the man-made humanitarian catastrophe that is taking place before everyone’s eyes in Gaza. They said more than 50,000 Palestinians have lost their lives and many more could starve to death unless immediate action is taken. The statement was signed by the leaders of Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Slovenia and Spain. The seven states rejected Israeli plans for forced expulsion of the people of Gaza as unacceptable. They also condemned the escalation of violence in the occupied West Bank, including settler attacks and intensified Israeli military raids. Hamas hailed the statement as a voice of conscience in the face of Israel’s crimes. It said the statement exposes the falsity of narratives and lies used by Israeli to justify its genocide in Gaza.

Al-Quds anti-Israel operation

An Israeli soldier has been injured in a retaliatory attack carried out by a young Palestinian man in the Old City of the occupied al-Quds. Media reports indicate that the Palestinian man lost his life after he was shot by the regime’s soldiers and left bleeding on the ground. Footage of the incident shows the young man lying on the ground without receiving medical assistance. Israeli forces later blocked all the gates to the al-Aqsa Mosque compound and attacked worshipers. Hamas hailed the operation as a legitimate response to Israel's ongoing crimes in Gaza and the occupied West Bank. It said the operation was also a reaction to the regime's violations of Islamic sanctities, especially the al-Aqsa Mosque. Hamas said the operation shows Palestinians will continue to confront Israeli aggression until their land and holy sites are liberated. It called on people in the West Bank to escalate resistance in all its forms, and respond to Israel’s crimes with painful operations.

Israel aggression against Yemen

Yemen has strongly condemned Israel’s repeated attacks on the country’s ports, saying the regime’s aggression will be met with a painful response. Yemen’s Foreign Ministry said targeting of the country’s ports is a blatant violation of the UN Charter and international law, while proving Israel’s abject failure in achieving its goals. It also condemned the international community's complete silence on Israeli aggression. The ministry called on the upcoming Arab Summit in Baghdad to adopt a strong position in support of the Palestinian people. The statement came after Israel’s fresh strikes on three Yemeni ports of Ras Isa, Salif, and al-Hudaydah. Separately, a senior Yemeni official slammed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s threat of assassinating the Ansarullah leader, Abdul Malik al-Houthi. Mohammad Ali Al-Houthi said those who failed in Gaza will also fail in Yemen, and will not achieve any of their objectives. He said Netanyahu and his minister of military affairs are selling illusions, and are trying to buy time to achieve impossible goals.
