US-Israeli Gaza genocide
Another deadly day for Palestinians in Gaza as the Israeli military presses ahead with its unrelenting attacks against the blockaded territory. In one of the deadliest attacks, more than 50 civilians were killed and over 100 others injured in Israeli raids on citizens' homes in Jabaliya, northern Gaza. Earlier, nearly 30 Palestinians were killed in a series of Israeli airstrikes on the vicinity of the European Hospital in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza. Also in Khan Yunis, an Israeli drone strike targeting tents of displaced Palestinians near the al-Mawasi refugee camp, killing four people, including two children. To the north, several fatalities were reported after Israeli warplanes struck a home in the Jabaliya refugee camp. The Israeli artillery also pounded a number of areas across Gaza, leaving an unknown number of Palestinians dead and injured. According to the Gaza health ministry, over 52,900 Palestinians have been killed in the Israeli genocide since October 2023. More than 119,700 others have been injured.
'Preventing genocide in Gaza'
A senior UN official has raised the alarm about catastrophic humanitarian conditions in Gaza, urging the Security Council to prevent genocide in the besieged territory. UN relief chief, Tom Fletcher, was addressing a Security Council meeting on Gaza. He said Israel is “deliberately and unashamedly” imposing inhumane conditions on civilians by preventing entry of life-saving supplies into Gaza. The UN official also decried Israel's conditions for allowing aid delivery as "a cynical sideshow." He said the regime is trying to make starvation a bargaining chip. Fletcher called for the immediate lifting of Israel’s blockade on Gaza. He said the people of Gaza are witnessing death, injury, destruction, hunger, disease, torture, and repeated displacement on a daily basis. He also criticized the Security Council for not doing enough to prevent Israel's violence against Palestinians.
Yemen supporting Gaza
Yemen’s armed forces have launched a new anti-Israel operation, once again hitting the regime’s Ben Gurion airport in the occupied territories. Saree said the operation was carried out in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people and in condemnation of the Israeli genocide against civilians in Gaza. He affirmed that the operation confirms the ongoing navigation ban on the regime’s main airport. Saree urged all airlines to halt their flights to airports in the occupied Palestine. He emphasized that Yemen will not abandon the Palestinian people amid the ongoing genocide, calling on all freedom seekers to fulfill their religious, moral, and humanitarian responsibilities toward the oppressed people of Gaza.
