'Global support for Palestine'
The leader of the Islamic Revolution has repeated his call on the world to stand up to Israel and its supporters. In a meeting with thousands of laborers, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said Palestine is facing not only Israel but also major Western powers. The Leader slammed the US and UK governments for supporting Israel and called the actions of the Zionist regime in Gaza “unforgivable crimes.” Ayatollah Khamenei also urged all Muslim nations to stand with the Palestinians and make sure that the issue of Palestine remains a priority.
UN warns of famine in Gaza
A UN committee has warned of imminent risks of famine, disease, and death in the Gaza Strip due to food exhaustion and widespread destruction caused by the US-Israeli genocide. The Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination urged Israel to prevent war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide. It also called for immediate humanitarian access and a lasting ceasefire, stressing that the consequences of inaction could be catastrophic. Beyond Gaza, the committee highlighted worsening conditions in the occupied West Bank, where it said displacement and violence increasingly mirror the Gaza crisis. The warning comes hours after World Central Kitchen said it was forced to shut down its remaining soup kitchens across Gaza due to severe food shortages. The World Food Program also earlier reported a total collapse of food aid operations amid depleted reserves and border restrictions.
India-Pakistan conflict
Tensions between India and Pakistan remain high as the two nuclear-armed neighbors continue to exchange missile and drone strikes for a fourth consecutive day. Pakistan says at least eleven people were killed in overnight attacks by India, including strikes on three key military bases. In retaliation, Pakistan launched operations against Indian military sites, reportedly killing at least five people. Pakistan also conducted cyberattacks on India’s power grid, government websites, and military satellites. India has accused Pakistan of targeting civilian areas and said it remains committed to non-escalation, provided Pakistan does the same. The exchange of fire between the two South Asian rivals began Wednesday after India launched airstrikes on Pakistani territory in response to a deadly attack on tourists in Indian-controlled Kashmir.
