Leader calls for Muslim unity

The leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution has called for unity of the Islamic ummah, saying the incidents in Gaza and the wider Palestine would not have happened if Muslims were united. Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said in a meeting with Hajj officials that the current pressure on Yemen is also a result of a lack of unity among Muslims. The leader said the US, Israel, and certain European and non-European countries exploit the division of Muslims to impose their own interests and objectives on Islamic Nations. Ayatollah Khamenei further underlined the need for unity as the paramount interest of Muslim nations. He underlined that Muslims’ security and progress depend on the level of their unity and cooperation.

Yemen supports Gaza

The Yemeni military says it has carried out a fresh retaliatory operation against Israel in support of the Palestinian people in the besieged Gaza Strip. Saree said the attacks proved the failure and inability of the US and Israel to intercept the missile. Saree said the attack forced more than three million Israeli settlers to take shelter. He said operations at the Ben Gurion airport were completely halted for more than an hour. Saree renewed warnings to all international airlines against continuing their flights to the Israeli Airport, as it has become unsafe for air traffic. The Yemeni army spokesman said the country’s military will continue to remain steadfast and resolute in the face of the American aggression against the Arab nation. The Yemeni missile on Tel Aviv caused panic among Israelis at the Ben Gurion airport. Israeli media reports said at least seven people were injured as a result of the attack. They said the Yemeni missile bypassed four layers of the Israeli air defense and managed to hit Ben Gurion airport. Reports say the Yemeni missile’s warhead caused a wave of massive explosions at the airport. They also said the strike, left a 25-meter-deep crater where it landed. Several international airlines, including Lufthansa, have already decided to suspend their flights to Tel Aviv following the strike.

Starvation of Gaza civilians

The UN special rapporteur on Palestine has called for top EU officials, including Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, to face prosecution over complicity in Israel’s war crimes in Gaza. Francesca Albanese accused the EU of aiding and abetting the Israeli crimes in Gaza through its ongoing political and diplomatic support. She described the 27-member bloc’s continued trade ties with Tel Aviv as beyond deplorable, arguing that they amount to crimes under international law. Albanese also warned that certain individual institutions, such as banks and universities, could be held individually liable if found to have supported Israel. A formal complaint was lodged at the International Criminal Court against von der Leyen last May, citing her support for Israel despite international legal obligations to prevent genocide.
