US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

More Palestinians have fallen victim to Israel's air and artillery strikes in Gaza, as the regime's genocidal war rages on unabated across the besieged Palestinian territory. In one of the latest attacks, at least eight Palestinians were killed in an Israeli strike on a house in the southern city of Kahn Yunis. Also, an Israeli drone strike on the Mawasi refugee camp, west of Rafah left five people dead, including two children. Three Palestinians, including a child, were killed in a series of Israeli drone strikes on Gaza City. The Israeli genocide in Gaza has killed over 52,400 Palestinians, so far, leaving more than 118,000 others injured. The fatality figure includes more than 2300 civilians, who have lost their lives since the resumption of the regime's onslaught on March 18.

'Israel weaponizing hunger'

The leader of Yemen's Ansarullah movement has condemned Israel for using starvation as a lethal weapon in the Gaza strip, and creating heart-wrenching scenes of Palestinian children.  Abdul Malik al-Houthi continued that these scenes are enough for the Muslim nations to feel the extent of their duty towards the situation in Palestine, which goes against any kind of values and morals. The Yemeni leader added that the Israeli regime is attempting to eliminate medical and health services in the war-torn strip by targeting doctors and paramedics and even the relief and works agencies. Houthi called the United States and its allies ‘Octopus of Evil’ for supporting the genocide against Palestinians. He also cautioned that the US and Israel want the Muslim community to be weak and defenseless, by launching both military and soft wars on Muslim nations. He added that the US and Israel seek to turn Islamic countries into tools for their destructive plots.

May day rallies

Workers across the world have taken to the streets to mark the International Workers Day known as May Day. In some countries, including Turkey and France violence erupted during the protests. In Turkey, authorities imposed strict restrictions on the rallies, detaining dozens of activists ahead of the protests and shutting down major transportation routes to prevent gatherings. May Day rallies in France’s western city of Nantes also turned violent as police used water cannons to disperse protesters. In another French city, Lyon Police used tear gas during the protest. In several other countries including South Korea, Indonesians, Greece, Bangladesh and Iraq people took to streets, demanding stronger worker protections and higher wages. May Day rallies are held annually around the world, providing a platform for protesters to voice their economic grievances and political demands.
